Network Security Fundamentals
The focus of this training day is network security and all security at layer 2. This level (layer 2) is a part that is often lost in many organizations. Many of the attacks that take place on the local network can be configured away already at this level. Lexicon's expert shares his experiences and examples from real cases.
Course objectives
Eliminate problems with congestion, MAC and IP spoofing, ARP attacks and DHCP attacks, etc. We start from Cisco equipment and Cisco IOS, but the same solutions are available from most manufacturers. Lots of practical exercises and examples.
The goal after this course is that you should know all the security functions that you can implement at layer 2 and be able to do it practically.

The target group is IT technicians and administrators.

Basic network skills are a requirement.

- Secure management of network equipment
- Secure basic configuration of network equipment
- Implement protection at layer 2. Storm Control, Port Security, PVLAN, STP, Dynamic ARP inspection, IP source guard, DHCP snooping aka DHCP guard etc.
