During this three-day course, gain an in-depth understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Release Train Engineer (RTE) in the SAFe enterprise. Through experiential learning, examine the RTE role in a Lean- Agile transformation.
Learn how to facilitate ART processes and execution, coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in new processes and mindsets. Explore how to prepare, plan, and execute a Program Increment (PI) planning event, the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization.

This SAFe RTE Training, we will prepare you for the SAFe RTE certification exam and teach you how to:

• Execute and continuously improve PI Planning
• Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters utilising new processes and mindsets
• Work effectively in remote environments with distributed teams

To perform the role of a SAFe® Release Train Engineer, attendees should be able to:

• Apply Lean-Agile knowledge and tools to execute and release value
• Assist with program and large solution execution
• Foster relentless improvement
• Build a high-performing ART by becoming a servant leader and coach
• Develop an action plan to continue the learning journey

Attendees must attend all days of the course in order to qualify for the exam.

A Certified SAFe® 4 Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe) programme servant leader and coaching professional responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of value in a single programme or Value Stream in a Lean-Agile enterprise. Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Solution Train Engineers (STEs), Programme Managers, Project Managers, Leaders and Managers, Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, as well as SAFe Programme Consultants (SPCs) could all benefit from attending this course and earning the RTE certification.

To succeed in this course and pass the RTE certification exam, you should have:

• The ability to facilitate cross-team communication
• The ability to use SAFe Principles
• The ability to coach Agile and SAFe facilitation
• The ability to launch or participate in at least one ART and one Programme Increment (PI)
• The ability to manage stakeholders
• A working knowledge of team dynamics

You should also have at least three months of real-world, hands-on experience as an RTE.
